We took four kiddies to Fiddlesticks for our son’s birthday. We had a great time except for the fact that a 2 year old is hard to miniature golf with. It happened to be a lovely day here in Phoenix. The miniature golf there was fine. And, I mean fine as in the water feature was broken so instead of a distracted ambiance it was more desolate looking. Not that I’m complaining because like I said we had a two year old and the water would have been a nightmare.
The miniature golf was fun. 18 holes of super speedy miniature golf. The kids didn’t seem to grasp the idea that goofy golf is won by the person who can get it in the hole in the least amount of strokes, not the fastest. And there was definitely a foot wedge used on a few holes! It was your run of the mill miniature golf course. They appeared to have 2 different course to play from for the busy days. The holes have seen better days with plenty of wear, but the kids couldn’t have cared less. An argument here, a victory dance there, and in a snap it was over.
Bumper boats were next on the agenda. They are very slow paced and very easy to drive for children of all ages. A 6 year old will have no problem driving these. The 2 older kids loved them! They have a little spout on the front for shooting everyone around you…sure to bring many giggles! It was a lot of water fun!
Miner Train roller coaster. All I can say is…..Wow! It was super fast for a kiddo ride. My 2 year old was scared! But the older kids loved it!
Fiddlesticks in Phoenix Az also has batting cages which offer many speeds: Slow pitch softball, Slow, Medium and Fast pitch baseball. They operate about 10 cages so there is plenty of room.
They also have a full driving range with about 50 bays for hitting real golf balls. The range was full of golfers of all skill level. It appeared to be a very nice and functional driving range, with greens and pins and many different distances for practice. They even have huge nets in some areas to try and hit your ball into. And on busy days they have a second tier for hitting golf balls off of mats, that’s right a 2 story driving range!
Overall Fiddlesticks is a fun source of Arizona entertainment. if you are looking for a semi hectic and sanity draining experience, 4 kids at fiddlesticks is you answer! But with 4 kids every place is like that. It is definitely a great place to spend your day with kids. There is outdoor fun, indoor fun, food and plenty of activity.
